What does a gas fireplace service include?

The unit comes apart on a drop cloth: logs or media out, burner and pilot checked, glass cleaned, everything reassembled and re-lit. A carbon monoxide reading is taken at the hearth before we pack up, and the 000 ppm meter on this page is from a real service call. The tune-up is currently $99.99.

Do you install both tank and tankless water heaters?

Both are on our documented record: a conventional tank serviced mid-job, and Rinnai and Bosch tankless units installed, vented, valved and commissioned.

My fireplace won't light. Is that a repair call?

Yes. That is the $79.99 service call: we find the fault first, give you a clear quote, then carry out the repair. Gas fireplace repair and maintenance are listed services on our record.

Do you service furnaces or air conditioning?

Furnaces, yes — repair and seasonal maintenance both. Air conditioning is not something we take. The heating work in our own photographs is gas fireplaces, water heaters and dryer vents, so if you want to see the job before you book, those are the pictures. Call and describe what you have and we'll tell you plainly whether it's ours.

Water heaters

The gas line is half the job.

A water heater is a gas appliance, a plumbing fixture and a vented unit at once, which is exactly the overlap we work in. Rinnai and Bosch tankless units are on the record with their venting, isolation valves and black-iron gas runs, and conventional tanks are serviced too, control valve to burner.

Dryer vent service is on the same record and can be booked with the same call.
